Continuing with my dumb Twingo ideas...
I’ve always loved the colorful NASCAR paintjobs, even though I know next to nothing about it. I’d love to do a flashy 90's livery wrap, with (next to rally), the coolest wheels in motorsports.
The one thing I’m kinda iffy about is the political connotations that NASCAR brings, for me it’s like having a confederate flag on the roof. Cool, yeah, but still... I dunno man.
And to be honest I have no problem when people rice up their cars to look like motorsport racers but have 40 horsepower. It’s just for the looks and to have fun with it, who cares.

I think these are the best looking mk1 Twingo wheels. Also: Ronal Teddy.
About the livery; make sure it’s clear you’re doing it with a huge wink. A serious livery with Ronal Teddies painted as Panda (or Pooh) bears would work. Or a livery with an obvious self deprecating joke in them.

Agreed! Those are definitely the best mk1 wheels.

NASCAR doesn’t have the confederate flag stigma you might think. Some people just like nascar, though i’m not sure what the perception is where you are at, which I’m guessing is Croatia)
Have you considered doing a NASCAR style wrap but with all local brands? Or is the American theme more what you are after? Either way it would be neat, in my opinion.

i love the local brands idea. OMG that would be quite funny, actually. Most of our brands are lead by corrupt businessmen, or are sold to the Italians, Hungarians, Russians... The biggest Croatian conglomerate which hires over 200,000 people declared bankruptcy recently. So to do something like this could be a great social commentary if I would put some thought into it. Thanks!
Oh, and I don’t think that NASCAR fans are racist, just to be clear. It’s just something I’ve noticed in pop culture, whenever someone impersonates a southern person, along the regular “muh truck, muh guns n jesus”, they mention NASCAR, too. So I was wondering what is the nationwide perception of the sport is? What do most people who are at all interested in cars think about this sport?
There’s only so much I can learn from pop culture, I like to hear what real people feel about this sort of stuff.

Yeah, I agree. I’d need to make it obvious that it’s a joke in some way. But also not ruin the look by doing it. Shiney’s comment below could help with the idea.

I went to college in Daytona beach right next to the track. Funny enough I once worked the race with a good friend from Zagreb. While the pop-culture perception of a southern ‘redneck’ is confederate flag waving and Nascar loving, NASCAR has appeal to a large amount of people all over the country. At one point more folks watched Nascar than football and we love our football. It’s still more popular in the south and rural communities but it’s for everyone.
If you like racing it’s a good show but if you just like cars it’s not that interesting. There isn’t a lot of technology in Nascar and the cars are not like what we can buy, as it once was so it’s hard to get excited about it. My preferred racing was always the Rolex 24 at Daytona. All sorts of cars, all on track at the same time

Crazy idea for you — orange like the old Dukes of Hazzard General Lee, but put the Croatian flag on the roof and a big “91” on the door.
Or maybe even skip the orange altogether, I just think it’d be cool.
Full disclosure: Southern American, 1/4 Croatian (Dalmatia).

Haha, I could do a black one with the ‘91 and a big U on the roof lol

Place your engine in the boot and make a Twingo interpretation of the Clio V6?
